Breaking News: Vaccinated against Covid-19, pregnant women could protect babies by placental transfer of antibodies

 This is news from Reuters according to a small study in Israel.

This small sample of 20 Women who were vaccinated by two doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine during the third trimester of pregnancy. 

This is a quote from the study,"Our findings highlight that vaccination of pregnant women may provide maternal and neonatal protection from SARS-CoV-2 infection".


The research was conducted by researcher's at Jerusalem's Hadassah Univerity Medical Center.

Pfizer/BioNTech are also conducting study with 4000 volunteer participants.
