Microsoft is leading the pack in Magic Quandrant for ODBMS

Operational Database Management System (ODBMS) which is a more appropriate name than OLTP there has many new entrants to the business. It is not just RDBMS anymore as you have Big Data, NoSQL, etc.

Microsoft is tops in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Operational Database Management Systems for 2015. Oracle is a little behind Microsoft and IBM is trailing.

Here is the picture of the Quadrant:

Microsoft Azure enters Gartner's Magic Quadrant

Last week Gartner released their Magic Quadrant on cloud vendors.

You know what?

Microsoft grabbed the Leader's position for Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure- that is IaaS
for you.

Well for Gartner IaaS is  not just moving round hardware and configuring  it,
According to Gartner, "Cloud compute IaaS as a virtual data center of compute,
storage and network resources delivered as a service"
Well, MSFT is also a Leader in Application Platform as Service. This makes MSFT the only
cloud service vendor with such a recognition.

Go ahead and host on Azure without hesitation.

Gartner Group against Open Source Tool kits

I got this over the internet. Is it true?

"We read a Gartner Group report that said the Microsoft system was the simplest to use among the commercial vendors and that open-source toolkits weren't worth considering."

What do you think?
